Iowa Writers Collaborative
I recently returned from the Iowa Writers Collaborative Gathering in Storm Lake. Such a beautiful town and college campus at Buena Vista University. It was great to reconnect with writers and songwriters in this group - all in an effort to help one another become better at what we do.
The gathering also included a visit to the legendary Byron’s in Pomeroy, Iowa as that is where we songwriters held our inaugural Hootenanny. Yes, a Hootenanny. It was a fun night and reminded me a bit of the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville. I will return to Byron’s do a solo perform on Sunday, October 5.
